If you're a singer you lose your voice. A baseball player loses his arm. A writer gets more knowledge, and if he's good, the older he gets, the better he writes.

Mickey Spillane 1918-2006

...and another great review here!

Another rave review for the Ninth Black Book of Horror here. Keep 'em peeled for the tenth - coming soon.

The 'Clockhouse London Writers' promises to produce some really hot stories from some seriously hot writers. These are the people to watch!

Breaking News for 2013

'Deeper than Dark Water', an intensely dark Neurological horror story is to be published in the next and Tenth 'Black Book of Horror.'

Some stories take you to the edge - this one will shove you over it.

You have been warned!!!

Early reviews of Mortbury press's 'Ninth Black Book of Horror' are in here - and it's looking good. Watch this space for more reviews!

'Paul Finch's What's Behind You? also deals with childhood fears and, with its old-fashioned, MR James inspired style, is one of the book's highlights. Equally effective is the short, sharp shock of Gary Power's Ben's Best Friend, where teenage friendship is not all it seems.'
